Intense hurricane Helene is forecast to strike Ireland as a tropical
storm at about 02:00 GMT on 28 September. Data supplied by the US
National Hurricane Center suggest that the point of landfall will be
near 54.3 N, 10.9 W. Helene is expected to bring 1-minute maximum
sustained winds to the region of around 83 km/h (51 mph). Wind gusts in
the area may be considerably higher.
