*Thousands pay their respects to the Rev. Jerry Falwell*

Hundreds of Liberty University students were pouring in to a campus
building today, to see their school chancellor one more time.

The Reverend Jerry Falwell lies in repose in the DeMoss Learning Center
two days after he died, apparently from a heart condition.

Many students wept today as they viewed the founder of their school.
Elise Ramey called the minister "such a dear man." She said "he was like
a grandpa to all of us students."

Ramey says Falwell's death has been hard on everyone at Liberty and
"seeing him today just made it real."

Falwell's body will remain at Liberty tomorrow afternoon, when it will
be moved to Thomas Road Baptist Church for a public viewing on Sunday
and Monday.

His funeral service was held on Tuesday at the church, which he founded
over 50 years ago.
