Teenager dies in flash floods in southern Britain*

London - A 17-year-old boy has died in Britain after becoming trapped in
flood waters following flash floods in the county of Oxfordshire,
north-west of London, police said Wednesday.

The teenager was in a field with friends when the floods hit the region
late Tuesday.

'The boy got trapped beneath a concrete culvert in a flooded area,'
police said.

A number of roads and schools were closed as prolonged downpours hit
much of the South and East of England.
