Earthquake rattles sea floor off Oregon Coast*

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck
off the Oregon Coast at 11 a.m. today.
The earthquake’s epicenter was 189 miles west of Bandon, Ore., in the
Blanco Fracture Zone that marks the junction of the Juan de Fuca plate
and the Pacific Plate. It is a common area for earthquakes.
No tsunami warning was issued.
