Denver Police Now Investigating Haggard*
(CBS4) DENVER Denver Police are now investigating evangelical pastor Ted
Haggard.
Police want to talk to anyone with information on possible crimes
committed by Haggard and former male prostitute Mike Jones.
Haggard now admits Jones gave him a massage, but denies having a sexual
affair with him.
The reverend also said he bought methamphetamine from Jones.
"I just know that there has been some admission of indiscretion, not
admission to all of the material that has been discussed," New Life
Church. Acting Senior Pastor Ross Parsley said. "But there is an
admission of some guilt."
The accuser, Mike Jones, said he had a three-year relationship with
Reverend Haggard, involving both sex and drugs.
"I know a lot of people are probably cheering that I fail," Jones said.
"Look what Ted Haggard said when he was approached."
The New Life Church is conducting an investigation into Jones' claims.
Haggard is on administrative leave from his position as pastor.
