Firefighter guns down five over fireworks dispute*
CLEVELAND -- A neighborhood dispute over fireworks ended in gunfire last
night. Five people were shot, three were killed.
Police say 35-year-old firefighter Terrance Hough, Jr. was arrested.
Hough has been with Station 33 at West 117th street and Linnett Avenue
since 1995.
The Assistant Chief there says he has had a spotless record until this
incident.
The shootings happened after midnight at 4375 Sky Lane on the city's
west side.
In a news conference this morning, police spokesperson Lt. Thomas Stacho
told Channel 3 News in 16 years he has never seen anything like it.
Police say firefighter Hough fired on a number of unarmed 20-something
party goers. Hough allegedly returned to his home next door immediately
after the shooting.
An off-duty police officer who heard the commotion and saw the victims
lying in the driveway followed Hough into his home and held him at gun
point until other police arrived.
Hough was arrested and remains in custody.
Police took 12 weapons from his home. Seven of them are handguns and
five are rifles.
The suspected murder weapon was also recovered.
One of the three murder victims is identified as 24-year-old Jacob
Feichtner. In 1991, Feitchter's mother was killed on Interstate 77, by a
rock which was thrown off the Fleet Avenue bridge.
The second victim was 26-year-old Katie Rosby of Lakewood. The third is
identified as Bruce R. Anderson of Parma.
The other two injured were treated and released from MetroHealth Medical
Center.
