SAN CLEMENTE, Calif. — Homicide detectives are investigating the deaths
of five family members found Sunday inside a home in a gated community
in Orange County, Calif., authorities said.

The names of the dead were not immediately released. They were described
as an elderly woman, a man and woman age 40-50, and two women in their
early 20s, all related. All five lived in the house, Giudice said.
It was unclear how they died. Neither homicide nor suicide could
immediately be ruled out, Giudice said. She stressed that there was no
threat to the community.
Sea Pointe Estates is a gated community of about 75 upscale homes near
the coast in San Clemente, about 65 miles southeast of Los Angeles at
the southern edge of Orange County.
