Briton suspected of infecting teens with HIV*

A British-born man had sex with up to 130 underage girls and infected at
least two with HIV, a Swedish court has heard.
Christer Merrill Aggett, 32, has confessed to having unprotected sex
with at least one girl.
Two girls, now aged 17 and 21, have already tested positive to HIV and
local media reports say police are attempting to contact 130 girls.
Authorities are said to have already tracked down 10, who are awaiting
test results.
Aggett was arrested after his landlord allegedly discovered pictures of
him performing sex acts with young girls and drugs to treat HIV.
The court heard a police raid at his Stockholm flat found a diary
describing his encounters with the young girls and naming up to 130.
News website The Local said that Aggett targeted girls as young as 12 in
internet chat rooms using the nickname Hot Boy.
The site quoted prosecutor Sara Lindqvist as saying that the girls who
had become infected or might be infected were all born between 1986 and
1990.
She said a large number could be asked to take a HIV test.
The attacks are alleged to have occurred between 2003 and 2006.
Aggett has already admitted one charge of serious assault and charges of
attempted serious assault.
He was remanded in custody after his court appearance.
