Potluck and Fox hunt Tomorrow

Ok here are the details for our end of the year potluck and Foxhunt
that is happening tomorrow.

Place: Jim Manookin's Home
Time: 1pm-2pm Potluck Lunch
2-5pm Foxhunt

Jim is going to be the Fox again this year and hopefully we will have
an automated fox like we did last year.

We will be having hamburgers provided by the club, however if you can

I just want to get everyone's feedback on the Fox Hunt. Do you want to
devote 3 hours to the fox hunt and then have a dinner potluck or have
the food and then the fox hunt (similar to last year). Also I need to
know when we should start the event. So here are the choices and I
would appricate your replies, thanks.

Fox Hunt

Sorry about getting this email out so late but we will be having the
Fox Hunt this Thursday. This event will start off with our end of the
year party potluck followed by the Fox Hunt.

As for the tentative details for the event:
Will be from 2-3 Potluck and 3-6 Foxhunt
Will either be at Jim's house or at Shannon Park in Orem

No April Meeting Today

The April meeting will not be today but rather replaced by the Fox
hunt that will most likely happen during reading days. (Also I am
working to get this robot racer done and will probabily crash around 6
today anyway).

BYU HAM Meeting Tonight

Sorry about the late reminder announcement, but we are having our
monthly meeting to go over the rex lee run and proper net etiquette.
We are going to be holding it in the normal room (BYU CONF ERC) which
is on the bottom floor of the ERC near the south enterance. The
meeting will go from 7 to 8 or 8:30 and pizza will be provided.

Rex Lee Run

Snow is melting, temperature is warming up, tomatoes are ripining
(well maybe the plants inside my house) and it is time for the Rex Lee
Run. This year they are requesting our help to cover positions on the
route and I need to know how many of our members will be able to
help.

activities for this semester including the Rex Lee Run and the April

CERT Training

Hello Everyone!

My ward is trying to sponsor a CERT (Community Emergency Response
Team) class and we are looking for more people. It will be Tuesday
nights (at 7pm I think) for part of January, all of February and part
of March (8 weeks total). The location is the church building across
the street from the Provo Temple. The cost is $40 for training

Wow the reviews are really good for the Rockmite on eham, but there
are only 55. The MFJ series didn't fare so well.

I found a keyer for $20 including shipping ([link]
k12info.html). There was also a pretty nice kit for a cw touch
paddle, but I lost the link.

I've been looking at 40m. It seems a rather popular band for cw, and there
are all sorts of homebrew rigs out there. I've been considering this one as
a way to get going:

It's only $25 after shipping... though you have to buy/build enclosure and
keyer yourself
