Saker,

I agree that the answer is to use an event gateway but I thought I'd elaborate a bit. When you say that there is an event "Two weeks before the deadline" what you're saying is really that there is an event that "something" happened and when that "something" happens you want to create an event that waits two weeks. So what you really want is an event gateway that figures out whether it goes to the "wait 2 weeks after deadline" or not based on the kind of incoming event. That event would be something like "xxx Letter Required" and there would be as many variations as you had letter types. So you would have a start event that goes to an event gateway that goes to a message received event for each "xxx Letter Required" events that you define.

I hope that helps!

Hello,

I'm trying to model this: I have a Sending Communication process where:
- two weeks before the deadline for sending the letter, dynamic data are generated
- when the deadline comes, the letter is prepared and sent.
See image1

Now, I want to say that FOR SOME TYPES OF LETTERS the dynamic data generation is to be skipped, so that the process simply is:
- when the deadline comes, the letter is prepared and sent.

How do I represent this?
See image2, which of course is not correct, but just to give you an idea.

Thank for your help
Bye
