 i have put down blockbuster for a good percentage of my life but i have stopped....whole trips to the vid stores are so much more fun at the mom and pop stores, blockbuster online has been the cheapest online and very quick....i loved greencine and netflix selection better, blockbuster has just moved to something i really like.....instead of turning the flicks back in through the mail, i know turn them in at the store and i get a free rental waiting for my next flick which is automatically logged in as returned so i get my flicks faster and more of em....i probably wouldnt talk like this if i had a regular blockbuster store instead of the freak show of one i visit....i love asian horror and indy flicks and that is what is here....if you want an adam sandler flick, you will have to go to a clerk to show you where....and yes....they do have BLOOD FEAST 2 in stock

 

RED SHOES....what a freaky horror flick from korea....gonna have to look for more korean flicks as this and SHIRI and some others have really peaked my interest....now if i tell you the set up the story, you will roll your eyeballs thinking big time cheese but this is actually a good story....starts with a young lady at an empty subway seeing these red shoes (actually more on the pink side) and she takes them....then another young lady comes and fights her for them....second lady starts screaming as she bleeds then the camera pulls back and her legs are amputated.....now jump to the actual story and there is a mom with about a 10 year old or so dancing daughter and the mom finds her hubby boffing some ho on the couch so mom and daugher, a daddy's girl leave and live elswhere....mom is cold but finally dates her decorator and finds the red shoes////she feels vibrant when she wears them....her daughter fights her for the shooes and so does her mom....some good gore and psychotecness ensues...good back story fu saving us from any prequel....shaka sez, dont put on the shoes but watch these women put em on and psycho bitch tangle

 

 

STATESIDE....a young drunk hurts some people ina  car crash and the judge makes him join the military instead of going to jail (thanks to the help of his rich dad)....he does well in the military but when he gets to come home, he starts a relationship with schizo actress/singer...good flick worth a rewatch one of these days

 

 

FRANKENSTEIN....this halloween was th eultimate horror story being that we had inventory so i did my pre halloween flicks with this triple feature....damm this is a good movie....supringly human....a classic that i recorded to watch the the younger ones on the next available triple feature night

 

 

BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN....never got to really sit and watch this classic although im sure i have seen every scene over my life....great stuff and makes me even more of a fan of mel brooks and YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN

 

 

SON OF FRANKENSTEIN....really cool seeing bela lagosi in this....wasnt he originally offered the role of frankensein?....these are three classic flicks

 

 

NACHO LIBRE....i had high expectations here and was suprised when they were surpassed....filmed not in the hollywood style i was expecting but more like it was a flick from mexico....definitely made for us fans of el santo and all luchadors

 

 

LITTLE MAN....what a piece of crap movie but what the hell....we had a great time with it....i liked this as much as FREDDIE GOT FINGERED....and yes....i liked that flick quite a bit....the lady in the wheel chair was a hoot

 

 

ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE AND FRIENDS....as part of the younger ones education, i rented this one online and will either buy or rent the rest....great cartoon show with wit and sarcasm to lay the foundation for any kid to develope a sharp tongue in later life....i love pebody and the way back machine and the FRACTURED FAIRY TALES is my fave sequence of each episode

 

 

HIGHT TENSION....horror flick about two young ladies going to one of their families homes way out int he boonies of the country so they can study peacefully away from their party life style....the flick does not make you wait as the shit hits the fan on night number one....as these ladies battle a killer intruder into the house i began to go against a pet peeve of mine....i started to question motivation and logic which i rarely do...i like to let the flicks come to me and be the target audience....but this flick had a bit more realism in places that i fell into that trap....and the writer and director answer my questions brilliantly....and this flick was so engrossing that i didnt notice until late that the sound track was fading back and forth between english and french most of the way through....this and THE DEVILS REJECTS are about the two best horror flicks i have watched in the past year or so

 

now back to the docs to figure out the reason for the huge blood pressure that the heart doc measured at 250's/120's on seven meds (most for bp) that hit me hard enough to seek a role in flick to be titled CHEECH AND CHONG AND SHAKA....so two kidney tests and a sleep apnea test on the way....hope they let me bring my computer into the hospital room....then again, maybe not or i wont go to sleep
