7PM: DO-DECA-PENTATHLON See their newest film a month before it hits theaters! From Austin's favorite sons, Jay and Mark Duplass, the writer/directors of the Sundance hits THE PUFFY CHAIR, CYRUS and JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME comes their latest creation, THE DO-DECA PENTATHLON - the story of two grown brothers who secretly compete in a homemade Olympics during a family reunion. When their fierce and disruptive competition is uncovered, the brothers must choose between their passion for beating the hell out of each other and the greater good of the family. 9PM: Duplass Brothers Short Film Showcase Long before the Brothers Duplass made their mark in Hollywood with CYRUS and JEFF WHO LIVES AT HOME, they made their name on the film festival circuit with their unique short films. This program includes all the hits, from THIS IS JOHN and SCRABBLE which jumpstarted their careers at Sundance in 2003 and 2004, through 2011's KEVIN, a documentary about Austin musician Kevin Gant. Jay is excited to unveil THE NEW BRAD, the brothers' first short film which has only seen the light of day through bootlegged VHS copies. For more infoformation & to get tickets >> |
