Subject: Alta Point and Web Interface
Anyone know if there is a web interface 3rd party program for AP?  We
would like to be able to access AP remotely through a web browser - we
currently are running a remote desktop solution which works ok, but
would like to be able to do a browser based access as well if it's
possible.

Thanks!  Abby

Hi,

I use Mionet that I had come across with my external hard drive. I had
purchased a Passport Elite by Western Digital( I highly suggest getting
one). The Mionet and Alta work well for me. Mionet requires a $49/yr
subscription

Good luck

Bruce

I use LogMeIn to remotely access  my Altapoint running on office desktop.
Not like being there, but OK.   Prior, I accessed via Citrix  when database
and  program were resident on remote server at the billing agent.

Hello Abby,

Both of the posts here are just a different version of Remote Desktop.
I am not sure that there would be any programs that would allow you to
see your remote desktop as if it was on a browser. I have heard of
people using a programming language called AJAX to do things like
that. But your AltaPoint runs on the Windows operating system.

You might look into doing Terminal Services through the web interface
of a Windows 2003 server!

Is there some additional functionality that you are looking for by
running AP in a browser??
