What agency is responsible for the upkeep of the Franklin Street foot
bridge? I have searched the City, State, and Masspike sites and can't
figure out who I need to contact regarding the dwindling number of
lights - as of Friday there are only three working lights out of at
least six fixtures. The bridge is already unsafe just in it's design,
but if all of the lights were working, it would be a little bit safer
than it is right now...

Thanks.

Hi Tamara,

I just called the Lighting Division of the Public Works Department
(635-7500). The Franklin Street foot bridge is maintained by the City.
Hopefully those lights will be fixed within the next week or so. If
they are not, please let me know.

Best,
Jacob

Tamara,
I believe the Mass Pike is responsible for the
foot bridge. I have a call into them to have the
light problem fixed.

Tamara, It must be election time. Yoon and Murphy are interested in
Allston and Brighton. I am amused at the different answers.

Jimbo,
I live in Allston and grew up in Brighton. As my
neighbors will tell you I help whenever and wherever I
can. The problem is that no one calls the at large
council offices with there issues, if they called our
office this would have been taken care, election year
or not.
