I've visited so many groups and I've found one thing that is
consistent in nine out of ten groups I go to. They have not the love of
God in them. The Bible clearly states that if you do not know Jesus as
Savior, then you clearly do not know God the Father. Also there is a
false misconception going around that God lives within all of us. This
is totally untrue. God can not live within some one that is unclean.
Before we accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, we are unclean. We
are defiled. We are born into sin, the Bible says. We are wicked. How
can God live within someone that is pouring alcohol into their bodies.
Good works won't get God within you either. The Bible clearly says your
good works are nothing but filthy rags to God. There is only one way
for God to live within you, and it is only God's Son's Spirit that will
live within you. You must be born again. You must be saved. How do you
become saved? You must accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Only He can
cleanse you and make you pure enough that God's Son's Spirit can use
your body as a temple.
It's quite simple to do. Simply believe that Jesus is the Son of God,
and ask Him into your heart, and repent of your sins.
If you have any questions about this, discuss it in these forums or
personally e-mail me at christ...@earthlink.net.
God bless you.

More on this topic....
If you look in old testament times, the Jews would have to go outside
the camp when they were roaming the wilderness all them years to use
the restroom, and also the women would have to leave the camp during
their menstrual period. Why? Because they were unclean. They couldn't
be near the presence of God while he was with them. I can guarantee you
God was not inside of anyone at this time.
Also the priest who ministered to God would have to wear bells when
they went into the temple and they would have a rope tied around them.
If the people outside no longer heard the bell, they knew that the
priest had died because of his impurity before God, and they would drag
him out by the rope. Once again I guarantee you God was not living
inside of anyone.
It wasn't until much later when Jesus died on that cross, that the veil
that separated the people from God was torn into, and the people had
access to God, and that access was brought about by His Son Jesus
Christ.
The only was to God the Father is through His Son Jesus Christ.
And the only way to have God's Son's Holy Spirit within you is to
accept Jesus Christ as your Savior.
For when you accept Him as your savior, your temple becomes clean so
that His Holy Spirit may rest within you, otherwise you are not
suitable for a perfect Holy God to live in.

What a powerful topic Craig.

Yes Jesus Christ is the only way to be saved and no other name under
heaven
whereby we can be saved other than Jesus Christ.[Acts c 4 v 12].

Alcoholics Anonymous has replaced the word the Bible calls sin with two
words called
now character defects. No such of a thing drunkeness is a sin among
other sins and,
drunkeness will keep a soul from going to heaven.[ 1st Corinthians c 6
v 9-10].

I use to attend AA meetings and was almost crucified by the
offended.For the preaching
of the cross is to them who perish foolishness but unto us which are
saved it is the,
power of God.[1st Corinthians c 1 v 18].

We Christans are to be as Saint Paul. For I am not ashamed of the gospel
of Christ it is,
the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth to the Jew
first and also to
the greek [gentile].

Yes Jesus Christ saves and delivers drunks.Amen.

Steven,

You were almost crucified for a reason. If a person's skin has not a
cut and you pour salty water over it, they do not get upset, but if
they have an open sore or a cut and you pour salty water over it, they
get highly upset and may try to hurt you, because the salt burns their
flesh.
The only reason they wanted to crucify you is because is because they
know they are sinners and they are going to hell in a hand basket. You
poured salty water over that sore, and they reacted.
If they were unblemished, and clean, they would have ignored you, and
would have gone about their business.
God bless you Steven, may His Holy Spirit comfort you and keep you
strong till the day of our Lord.

Yes Craig the gospel of Jesus Christ is like salt on an open wound
especially to those
that are lost.I believe AA has a spirit in their groups but sad to say
it is not the Holy Spirit.

It really puzzles me for them to say you are to share your experience
and strengths and hopes and when some Christians do they are crucified.

Well Craig my friend my drinking days were horrible experiences with
the hangovers-
trouble with the law and broken relationships and financial disaster.

I found my strength to stay sober through Jesus Christ the Saviour of
my soul.

My hopes is to see others to find the same freedom that was freely
given to me.

AA is not the place to talk about Jesus Christ unless one really wants
to see demon
spirits activated.I imagine AA one day will ban Jesus Christ name
officially and I look
for it soon in these last days of apostasy.

God bless you.

Steven.
