“…(Lawful to you in marriage) are chaste women from the believers and chaste women from those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) before your time when you have given their due Mahr (bridal-money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage), desiring chastity (i.e. taking them in legal wedlock) not committing illegal sexual intercourse, nor taking them as girlfriends…”
- Quran 5:5
So thus as I explained to the non- muslim woman - I dont make the laws, Allah does. It is just my job to convey them when you ask. It is not the non-Muslim woman that saddens me but instead the Muslim woman who butted in. It amazes me how so many muslims know nothing about islam. It was the Muslim woman who had the nerve to refer to me as being a "racist" just because I had to correct her and tell her to let me handle answering the questions on the site because after all, I am the teacher.
For this sister and her husband who later joined, let me correct them both and ask where in islam does it state that just because someone knows more than you that makes them a racist? Also how can a person be racist against a race that they belong to and where does islam prohibit usage of the word "garbage"?
The husband of the woman joined the site during the hadith class. We were studying the hadiths from Riyadhus Saliheen and the hadiths were on the screen for everyone to see and read along with. The husband asked about a hadith and I answered and gave him the source.. just because he had never heard of the hadith does not make me a racist either.. and for the record this man needs to know that there are many Muslims born into islam everyday around the world. Just because I was not born in Jordan does not mean that I am a convert.
In the future I suggest the new people read about us and our website
before joining:

Also understand that all teachers are more than qualified to do their jobs.
Finally, this website was made for Muslims - to call them back to their religion in its truthfulness based on Quran and authentic sunnah. It is not a website for trying to convince non-muslims to believe in Allah. Non-Muslims are welcomed to attend, but we are not here to sale islam to them. If the non-Muslim woman from yesterday is interested in learning Islam she can join and listen in, but we are not here to debate or sale our way of life.
As to the Muslim women and her husband, I strongly encourage and
invite them both to join the classes to learn more about their
deen.
May Allah keep us all on the right straight path
