Subject: [Ohio LinuxFest Announcements] Ohio LinuxFest Needs Your Help!

------------OHIO LINUXFEST NEEDS YOUR HELP!------------

Do you realize that Ohio LinuxFest is one month away?!?

Have you registered yet?  Why not?

Registration is simple, just visit the registration page and let us know to
expect you?

Three registration packages are available for the Ohio LinuxFest this year. The
Enthusiast Package is still available at no cost for students, enthusiasts, and
those that want to come to the event to find out more about Free and Open
Source software. The Supporter Package is available again at a low cost of
$65.00 to support the event. As a measure of appreciation, the supporter
package includes lunch on Saturday and a commemorative Ohio LinuxFest
tee-shirt. The Professional Package is available for $350.00, which in addition
to Saturday's activities, also includes access to the one day OLFU tutorials on
Friday, October 10, provided by LOPSA.

Remember to register today and remind your friends to sign up also.

How else can you help?  Help us get the word out.  Ohio LinuxFest has banners
and fliers available.  Show your support for Ohio LinuxFest with a banner on
your website and posting fliers.

P.S.   Help out by Digg'ng [http://digg.com/linux_unix/Ohio_LinuxFest_2008]

Since this would be my first Fest, is it worth it for me to get the
supporter package $65 or just go for the no cost option. I'm guessing
the no cost option is just fine, but did anyone have any reason to do
the supporter package. Please keep in mind I'm a student with almost
no income to speak of. Otherwise I know which one I would do.

Hi Patrick and ALUG,
The Free option is fine for students or anyone that wants to see what the event is all about.

The supporter package is for anyone that would like to make a donation to help the cause.
With that you will get a nice T-shirt and lunch and a few other items i think.

As a student if  you want to donate something other than money, you can help with setup early Sat morning.
Some work is needed at the event for the support tables like registration and running some of the sound equipment.
If you offer your services i am sure that would be as much help as the $65 package.

OLF 2008 Check-in Volunteers Needed     http://www.ohiolinux.org/node/270

That would be a great help to the group.
See everyone at Ohio Linux Fest!

Thanks, I think I'll go with the free version. Since this is my first
time, I might just go and check it out, then next year maybe I'll
volunteer time.

I'm planning on going to the OLF for Sat only (I don't have any
connections to stay with and I have no money for a hotel). I have a
Ford Focus I can take or I can ride with someone else if someone is
interested in spliting gas costs. My car has belts for 5, but if you
fit anymore than 4 people it could be illegal because it may be
considered torture.

I'm willing to drive or ride, either way I will split the cost of gas
with anyone who might be interested. Let me know and we can set
something up.

Pat, I'm willing to "split the gas" with you or anyone else who's
willing to drive.

Hey Pat / All,

I'm driving a Ford Escape, I'll be going down Saturday and staying for
the after party. I have one or two seats left, if anyone would like to
tag along and further split the gas let me know.

Thanks,
-Tom Gambone

Hey again,

Okay, now I'm back to square one; I forgot to mention to my other
passengers that I was planning to stay for the after party and leave
around 9 - 11 pm. So, I have 3 seats officially now, if I can't fill
those, I'd be glad to tag along & split gas with someone else that
also plans to attend the after party.
