Response:

There are many ways to do this, the simplest would be Click Sreadsheet,
click the upper left box to highlight all records and press the Del
Key. This would purge all records from your existing flight hours. This
of course should only be done if you have a copy of the log70dt.mdb
file backed up on disk.

Another way would be to use the multiple database option and have both
sets on you system at the same time. This would give you the option of
switching back and forth as you desire. Below would be the procedures
for this.

Click Tools > Utility Menu > Set Active
In the boxes at the bottom you should have log70dt in the "Copy From"
and put something like Log2004 in the "New Name". Click "Create New".
This creates a new database in the same folder as your original. You
would then have two data files 1 log70dt.mdb and 2 Log2003.mdb. I would
give the Log2004.mdb a description such as "2004 Flights".

After this is done, you could make the Log2004.mdb active and verify
all is there, then switch back to the other for active and delete the
flights in spreadsheet as before. You might want to enter Flights 2005
as the description for this version. Then begin entering flights.

You can easily switch back and forth if you need to see something from
last year. Be sure to have only one database active at a single time.
Hope this answers your question.

Stan
