>>Adipex<<

How doesAdipex work?
Drugs of this class are thought to suppress appetite via a central mechanism(appetite centers in the brain) although this has mechanism has not been clearlyproven.
How to takeAdipex:
This medication is best taken on an empty stomach; one hour before breakfasteach morning. Because this medication may cause sleeplessness, avoid taking adose late in the day. Take this medication as prescribed. Do not take it moreoften or longer than directed. Use in combination with other appetitesuppressant medicine is generally not recommended.
How effectiveis Adipex?
ADIPEX is effective therapy for the obese patient who needs to loose weight todecease diseases associated with significant overweight. The magnitude of theweight loss will depend on the degree of concomitant caloric restriction and theuse of a graded exercise program.
How long can Icontinue to use Adipex?
ADIPEX is a short-term drug that helps you to start losing weight and then keepon going when you are ready to carry on, on your own. Your body starts to buildup a resistance to the effects of ADIPEX after a few weeks of treatment, whichis when you should be well on your way to a new lifestyle and ready to stopADIPEX.
Appetite suppressants are not a substitute for proper diet. For maximum effects, this must be used in conjunction with a diet and exercise program.
Sortingthrough generic vs. brand name drugs:
When a pharmaceutical company develops a new drug, it gives the drug two names. The first, its generic name represents the chemical structure or chemical formof the drug. The generic name of a drug never changes. In this case the genericname of these drugs we are discussing below is PHENTERMINE. The second namegiven to a drug is its brand name. This is the name given to the medicine by thepharmaceutical company and has nothing to do with its chemical form. The brandnames of the drugs we are discussing are ADIPEX-P and IONAMIN. They are bothfairly similar in that they are composed of PHENTERMINE, and subsequently givendifferent names by the companies that manufacturer them. No other pharmaceuticalcompany can ever use the brand name of the drug at any time.
PhentermineHydrochloride (generic name) - Adipex-P and Ionamin (brand names):
PHENTERMINE, the generic name for ADIPEX-P and IONAMIN comes in immediaterelease or time-release formulas. Immediate release pills enter your bloodstream as soon as you take them, and time-release capsules release theirmedication into your body over an extended period of time, generally 8 or 12hours. As you can see, there are many popular brand names of PHENTERMINE.Nonetheless, all of the above named compounds are considered clinicallyequivalent in producing weight loss.
Ionamin:
IONAMIN is PHENTERMINE set in resin. The resin allows the compound to bereleased slowly into the blood stream. Some patients prefer it because theybelieve it to be associated with fewer side effects, others do not. It is theonly PHENTERMINE resin on the market. It comes in 30 mg and 15 mg capsules. The15 mg capsule is gray and yellow, the 30 mg capsule is all yellow. Each capsuleis labeled \46quot;IONAMIN\46quot;.
Adipex vs.Xenical:
ADIPEX-P is an appetite suppressant. XENICAL inhibits fat absorption into thebody. So both may be used in conjunction with each other for those who areseriously obese.
