How long did it take to get approved?

After the Adsense API team verified/tested that everything was
properly coded and working, I was introduced to gentleman who was
supposed to "look at [my] site in terms of policy and user
experience." So far it's been a month and I haven't heard anything
from him. The AdSense API support team has been ignoring my
application status queries, and I have been left with on explanation
of the wait. I'm not sure if they are still reviewing my application
or if I have been denied. Obviously this delay is costing me and my
company precious time and money.

My question is, for those of you that received your "developer"
account status, how long did it take? Is this month-long wait normal?

(Perhaps, AdSense API support will be kind enough to shed some light)

I am also experiencing the same problem. He got back to me once with feedback on a few changes. We had questions on some of the specific details, and requested more information two weeks ago and we have yet to receive a response to our request for more information. I hate to complain, and I assume he must simply be swamped with work and we are a low priority, but the delay is expensive and it's starting to get aggravating.

Justin's great -- he responds very quickly to technical questions. The man who handles policy is very, very slow to respond. Again, I figure he's swamped, but maybe Google could get him some help? It's very disappointing to spend thousands and thousands of dollars on programming, to upgrade servers (and pay increased hosting fees), to line users up, and then to just have to wait with no indication of when/if he'll even answer our very simple questions. My application is time sensitive, too -- it's an site focused on the entertainment industry and the fall's new programs are only a few weeks away.

For us it's been several weeks (3+) and counting.

We have had some contact with our 'next-tier' contact but we've currently been waiting unreasonably long for a reply to a few clarifying pointers.

The process is, to put it mildly, frustrating.

We have been told that things are "busy" and have been by-and-large left alone to wonder.

I would, however, like to thank Justin for his ever-vigilant, ever-timely responses.
You have been an immense help getting past initial inspection and I thank you for that.

Any updates from anyone is this group? Would love to hear if you are
all making progress in the approval process?

Hi all,

Same thing here, Justin validated us on July 24th, and still nothing
happened since then. Our contact keeps on telling us that the process
review is okay, but nothing more...

At least we're not alone, but if someone was accepted since the
beginning of August, please tell us so :-)

Regards,
Yvan

The lengthening approval process time is one of the reasons that we
are now limiting who can take their implementation live to some
degree.

Then it makes sense to me :-)

Best regards,

Chris has just answered me for the final review :-) So this won't be
long now I think for other people who are waiting.

Just fyi - My review request is 2 weeks old today. Tech has been
signed off on. Still waiting for a Policy review.

I'm glad they are limiting the applicants for the future so they can
catch up with the backlog.

I'm in almost the exact same position. Tech took about 1 week. So far,
I'm about a week into the policy review...

Just been approved today. Policy review started about 2 weeks ago (and
Tech review about 2 months ago).

Thanks Google API Team :-)

Are we supposed to send chris an email asking for the policy review,
or can I assume they did that for me when they sent the congrats email
I got for passing the technical review (I think Chris was cc'd on
that)?

I've been accepted and my code is now working against the real
servers :-) Just to summarize:
- tech ok on july 24th
- policy review started on september 10th (with a mail from Chris),
perhaps before that
- policy review again on the 17th (there was some errors)
- accepted on the 18th

Best regards
