Hello everyone!

I have a staff person who had her first known outbreak of shingles. So, of
course, I turn to my colleagues and gather anecdotal information.

One library assistant who is on the Children's Bookmobile (the only LA on
the BKM) has shingles and she has been off a week and a half while it runs
its course.

I would like to know if anyone else has had this happen to their
department, what protocol did you follow for (a) the patrons and (b) the
staff working closely with her.

With a total of five staff aged 60+ years, they are concerned about
themselves as well as the patrons we serve. My affected LA has a doctor's
appointment tomorrow morning and reports the lesions are drying up.
