Monday, April 30 – Richard Rutledge, Mike Donnelly, Norm Tomlinson, Mike Stinnett, and Ken Kulakowsky conducted the first of three Boy Scout Graphic Arts merit badge workshops. 24 Scouts, plus leaders and parents attended the last of the workshops to be held in the Jasper Yeates house.
Friday, May 4 – Mike Donnelly and Bill Pittenger were the printer/demonstrators for the First Friday opening of the Heritage Press museum from 5 to 9pm at 346 North Queen Street in the Building Character complex.
Please check the following schedule and try to help out whenever you have the time. We are working hard to get the museum and print shop back in operation and any help is appreciated.
Monday May 7, Tuesday, May 8 and Thursday May 10 – Help is needed to finish moving the equipment & supplies from the Yeates house to Thaddeus Stevens College. Please come to the Yeates house anytime from 9am until 2pm. If you want to be sure where we might be if you show up late, call cell 717-951-0881.
Attached is the calendar for May/June with the dates and times we need demonstrators in the print shop. Demonstration times are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from noon until 4pm, and Sunday’s from 1 until 3pm. Please let me know at kkula...@netzero.com, when you will be able to man the shop, either for the entire time or for part of the time. Because of the reduced space of the new shop, demonstrations will not have to be as comprehensive as they were at the Heritage Museum.
On Monday night, May 21st a Boy Scout Graphic Arts merit badge workshop will be held in the Steinman Graphic Communications and Printing Technology Lab, Woolworth Building, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology from 6 to 8:30pm. Let me know at kkula...@netzero.com if you are going to be able to help. We now have plenty of free parking on campus.
