  That is what the battery box is for. I have an angle iron frame that holds &lt;br&gt; a polycarbonite box that houses the batteries. This keeps the rain and &lt;br&gt; road water from contacting the batteries. Sure, most people want to see &lt;br&gt; the batteries and I get asked a lot, but I just tell them they are inside &lt;br&gt; the box. That is as good as I can do. I could probably build a clear lid,

  Mark, &lt;br&gt; I believe the wheels are original Fuchs&#39; - when I went after a vehicle to convert I grabbed the best one I could find and this one had all sorts of nice extras and *almost* no rust. Your conversion is really beautiful! I really just wanted to get my car converted and on the road so I didn&#39;t attempt a complete bottom-up restoration like you&#39;ve done. Great job!

  THere are some people that are using the Curtis AC controller - it is not &lt;br&gt; liquid cooled and can easily handle the AC24LS. There&#39;s a set of &lt;br&gt; discussions on this over on DIYElectricCar.   I&#39;ve been really happy with my Electro Automotive AC Voltsporsche conversion for about three years. Now the DMOC 445 controller has become unreliable. Three times now I&#39;ve driven about 7 miles and just plain stopped dead. I&#39;ve looked at EE3_LAST_ERROR and it is 2,048 - CURRENT_CALIBRATION_FAULT. The DMOC manual says, &amp;quot;Rare; may be associated with 12V supply problems&amp;quot;.
