I was thinking batts in the front, and a few on the sides in the
engine bay. where do you guys route the wires from the from to the
rear? gas lines?

i was also thinking of putting the charger and controller in the
engine bay, or maybe in the front trunk. what have you guys done?

As per the EA design, I run the battery cables front/rear through the heater ducts; they're about 2-3 inches in diameter so plenty of room for lots of thick cables.

I currently have my controller in the trunk, as per the EA design -- BAD IDEA for warm climates such as I am in (Southern California). If I leave my car parked outside (as opposed to a parking garage) then my controller will indicate overtemp as soon as I turn it on. It's an enclosed oven back there. Better would be to mount it in the engine compartment.

I have my charger in the front trunk.

Hi,

The heater used those tubes because there was free heat from the engine
that needed to be pushed forward to the vents. If you are going to make
your heat electrically, just put the heater in the front trunk - that's
what I did. I used the CanEV system and hacked it into the fresh air box
just in front of the windshield.

Sure, I have a heater too, but you're probably going to put your heater near the mixing box in the front, rather than in the engine compartment.

the heater from the engine is a good idea, but it goes to the cab.
what route do you use to go from the cab up to the front trunk? where
to the cable run inside the cab?

Just keep going!

There was a flexible metal pipe from the heat exchanger to the "duct" which opens up behind the speaker as you've noticed. Then another flex from there (in the cab as you say) through a hole into the front trunk (in the fuel tank compartment).

ok, this might sound like a dumb question. can anybody help me ID
parts on my controller? is one a fuse?
