I've noticed that my api key is returning that I exceeded my limits
today. However, when I tried calling a sample call from api docs using
'YOUR_KEY_HERE' as key, the same error message is being returned,
"OAuth authentication error: You have exceeded your daily request
limit of 4000. ". Is this some kind of problem with the api? I'm
receiving some bad reviews because of this, I would be glad if someone
answered me.

Thanks,

Helder

Hello Helder,

The API key in the examples is for documentation and demonstration
purposes only and should not be used in production.

For your own use and testing please use your personal API key as given
during registration. Or you can sign up for a key at
http://access.7digital.com/partnerprogram

If your personal key is over the daily limit then please contact our
sales department at sa...@7digital.com to setup a formal contract.

You can read more about the usage guidelines on
http://developer.7digital.net/Developers/APIUsageGuidelines

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Regards
Goncalo Pereira

I'm not using the key in the example in production, I do have my own
key.
However, I thought that it was strange that the key for the examples
to be over the limits too, and I thought that it could be a global
problem and not only mine.
Is the key for the examples coincidentally over the limits too? I'd
thought that this key would have no rate limits, since it is only for
testing purposes.

Hi Helder,

the example key does have rate limits in place as it was being abused
(which seems to be the case again and hence is over the limit).

I've temporarily raised the limit on your key and I'll get in touch
with you directly in the next couple of days to discuss how we can
keep the higher limits for you going forward.

Have a good weekend
Filip
