Really nice day in the garden, I wasn't able to make the New Members
meeting, but later I saw the results of Nick's labors in the rock
garden, he really opened it up nicely with some judicious pruning,
and laid down a lovely bed of stones that really makes it shine. And
Soretta liberated, as she put it, the rose bush, it stands out now in
a very striking way, and can be seen much more easily now from the
bench around the clubhouse. And she inspired me to liberate the birch
tree, which was being overwhelmed by a clinging vine that was
reasserting itself after being removed last year.
And many others contributed too, a nice day-John Newell

Dear Garden Members,
If possible I would like to reserve the cabin upstairs and the stone table after Open Hours from about 4:30-5:30 on Saturday June 23rd.
I am working with a lovely group of artists called Odyssey Works. They build a 24 hour site
specific performance for one audience member.

On Saturday, from about 4:30-5:30, I will be serving the audience member a meal in the
cabin as one stop on his Odyssey.

After the meal is eaten I will lead the audience member to the stone table. There
he will be collected by friends who will then be taking him to his next location upstate.

If you are interested to read more you can read about the company on line
at Odysseyworks.org

Please let me know if you have any questions.
I will be on hand in the afternoon before, during the meal, and will lock up afterwards etc.

Thank you,
Christine
