Greetings!
I'm trying to find a CAD version of the 505 measurement diagrams showing the stations and shapes as seen on the official "Class Rules -B- measurement diagrams" It's a 3 page PDF
which I located on the International website. I tried to reverse engineer off the PDF but it doesn't seem to be all that accurate, for instance on the page 2 layout, the front view, station 7 measurement to center line does not coincide with the (lower) side view station 7 dimension to center line. I believe station 7 is also the maximum beam dimension.
Also the side view on page one does not scale the same as the page 2 side view.
If someone has some info on why this is a where I can find an accurate drawing I would appreciate it.
Happy New Year to all and here's to great sailing in 2010!!

Bill,
I did a NURBS surface model of the hull in Autodesk Mechanical Desktop awhile back (from the data on the website). I can send that to you, possibly in IGES, depending on what you are using, it may be of use.
Happy New Year!

As I recall, there is some CAD templates available, I believe they were in some format that worked in AutoCAD, which is what I used to generate the surface model.
The station locations appeared to be in English units converted to metric. - John

That sounds like it might be fairly accurate , when you have a chance I'd like to take a look at the IGES file you have.
