The first gun for the 2009 Buzzards Bay Regatta hosted this year by
the New Bedford Yacht Club in South Dartmouth, MA is less than 3 weeks
away. Final preparations are underway for this exciting multi class
regatta. Online registration is open and registration for all
classes after Sunday July 19th will be subject to a late fee. If you
haven't registered yet and plan to attend this year's festivities,
don't delay and sign up today at
www.buzzardsbayregatta.com .
While you're at the web site, make sure to check out the official
Buzzards Bay Regatta apparel on sale now at the Buzzards Bay Regatta
Web Site. Most popular styles and sizes have sold out in past years,
so get yours delivered direct to your home in plenty of time for the
event.
If your plans for the event require overnight mooring space, please
contact the New Bedford Yacht Club at 508 997-0762. Moorings are
assigned on a first come, first served basis but additional moorings
and dock space may be available through local marinas and yacht yards.

As always, the racing at BBR is followed by great on shore parties and
post race celebrations. This year's Buzzards Bay Regatta Program is
online now with plenty of information on lodging, food, parking, as
well as how to have the best possible time at the race.
The Buzzards Bay Regatta is run by an all volunteer committee and we
thank our partner yacht clubs, the Beverly Yacht Club, Mattapoisett
Yacht Club, and Low Tide Yacht Club for their tireless help. We'd
also like to mention our Admiral level Sponsors, West Marine, Mount
Gay Rum, and Cape Yachts/South Wharf Yacht Yard for their support.
