productivity tip: ViaPost.com (UK only)

I've been spending the last few days trying out various ways to
improve productivity.

Ironically the worst has been trying outsourcing with GetFriday.com
and AskSunday.com

The best has been the discovery of a service that launched last month,
www.viapost.com which for now is for the UK market only.

When you hit print and select them as the printer, some seamless
software kicks in, sends your letter encrypted to them, they then
print your letter and place it in an envelope and post it (all by
machine). What I can't believe is the cost is below that of the raw
materials - if I compare to cost of paper, printer, envelope, stamp.
But the real saving is not having to walk to a printer, deal with
toner, fold paper, deal with envelopes and best of all no walks to the
post office!

Why not just email a PDF? I know not everyone has email, so given that
it looks quite handy.

Tell your credit card company that, or the DMV, the airlines, the gas
company, the bank, the cellular company the IR/IRS ....
