Strikes me that the beginning of a new job (for those of us who are
full-time rather than freelance or consultants) is one of the few
really natural points for shaking up my routine and getting my act
together, productivity-wise.
To that end, I'm looking for a solution which will allow me
cross-platform access to, at the very least, contacts and calendar.
Here's my setup:
Home - 10.3.x G4, with dynamic DNS
Mobile - 10.4.2 1.67 mHz 15" G4 PBook, SonyEricsson T610
New job - a PC to be named later, MS Office
I'm using Mail/iCal/iSync on the Macs and with my phone.
I'm willing to consider a portable device such as a PDA, but would
prefer to avoid having another item to carry around.
I'd prefer a web-based solution.
Any thoughts?
For managing contact info I'd probably suggest importing your contacts
into gmail or something.
Failing all that, yahoo is doing some pretty cool things with
calendaring etc solutions, & of course contacts too. If you haven't
looked at their offerings lately I'd suggest checking it out, they've
made a lot of improvements in the past year or two.
good luck

My implementation of GTD is therefore twofold:
- based on Devonthink for what is conducted exclusively on my powerbook
and often requires to work without internet access (Research work).
-but based on Backpack [ http://backpackit.com/ ] for what is
generally conducted with internet access (Teaching, administration).
I would very strongly recommend exploring Backpack, but also Basecamp [
http://www.basecamphq.com/ ], both offered by 37Signals, which has also
recently announced their forthcoming Writeboard [
http://www.writeboard.com/ ].

I can view each calendar individually or all at the same time. You can
also link one calendar to another, so I make sure that my work calendar
also reflects personal obligations.
There is a fee if you want to access these from a mobile device --
that's how Airset plans to make a profit.
The customer service, by the way, is great.
