[MacWorld][1]'s coming up in January, so I was thinking it's as good a
time as any for our first official **43 Folders Meetup**. Whatcha
think?

Since I'm not as plugged-in to all the events as some of you kids (I'm
[exhibits-only][2]), I'll open the floor to suggestions on days and
places. I'll start the bidding with:

* [House of Shields][3], 39 New Montgomery St. near Market
([Yahoo!][4]). It's about a five minute walk from the Moscone.
* Wednesday, January 12th
* 5:00-7:00 pm

If there's enough interest, I'll see about getting the upstairs
reserved. HoS is a great bar, by the way. Fun crowd, entertaining
music, and home of the largest urinal I've ever seen. So there's that.

Thoughts, broad conflicts, better ideas?

Brilliant idea!

House of Shields is good.

Depending on what time we'd want to meetup, there's also 111 Minna
Street (great art bar over on 2nd Street, a bit furhter than House of
Shields). And, lest we forget, Chevy's Fresh Mex on the corner of
Howard and Third. Always great with large parties and is right next
door.

hmmm, need to find a last minute cheap ticket....
don't want these free peachpit passes to go to waste!

i'll be there if I can make it somehow.  but it's doubtful
unfortunately.

Also, I've gotta say -- am happy to own a Mac again. This will be the
first time I've gone to MacWorld in many years and actually had a Mac
to toy with, gawk at gear with, and purchase stuff for. Nirvana.
