More GTD Tiddly Wiki solutions (d3 and MonkeyGTD)

The Tiddly Wiki community has lately come up with two Tiddly Wiki
distributions that implement GTD in two different ways that are both
becoming popular.

I've summarized these two (d3, and Monkey GTD) at the 43folders Wiki:

"d cubed" is a "kinkless" GTD Tiddly Wiki by Tom Otvos. He has a
special set of plugins that allow you to collect actions within project
lists. It will then automatically create context and action lists for
your review. In that respect, it is very much like kGTD from
http://www.kinkless.com/.

MonkeyGTD is a GTD task manager by Simon Baird. Task collection is done
by creating tiddlers tagged with "Task", a context name, and a project
name. These tags then allow for automatic task listing on project and
context pages. His "Dashboard" format provides a powerful GTD summary
of tasks.

May I slip in your thread PimliPoche2,
a demo of my GTD tiddlyWiki flavour, I use (and improve) since aug 05

You can collect bottom up as well as top down, use templates or play
freeform, all your Next Actions are immediately mirrored in context
lists, tickler, project/subprojects NAs, etc

Still lacking a tutorial : that's my job now (as well as setting the
french counterpart)

For the moment click and play anywhere
(first loading may be long as it weights almost 1 meg with an already
somewhat large database : samples, GTD tips, templates ...)

Well, that works too.

I think that most of what's going on there is very similar to
MonkeyGTD, which uses MPTW to do GTD.

I recommend posting this in the "GTD TiddlyWiki" Google Group as well.
There is a recent topic "GTD variants" that seems most appropriate.

I can get neither d cubed or monkey GTD to save properly using Firefox
1.5.0.2.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Hello Daly,

By "save properly", what exactly are you seeing? Based on a quickie
site analysis, about 10% of visitors are using 1.5.0.2, including
myself on a day-to-day basis, and have not heard of issues.

You are, I presume, running these locally as opposed to from their
respective web sites?

Did you use the File-->Save to save your TiddlyWikis?

Because if you do, they won't save properly.

You have to use the save button in the side menu.

If you totally already know that... sorry!
