New issue 337 by theflyin...@iol.it: DOF Calculator: Focus distance in
logarithmic steps
http://code.google.com/p/400plus/issues/detail?id=337

The current implementation of the DOF calculator allows for setting the
focus distance as an integer number of meters only.

This works well in the range of say 3 to 10 meters. But for shorter
distances it is far too coarse (DOF with most focal lengths changes
drastically between 1 and 2 meters), and for longer distances it is far too
fine.

Hence I'd propose the use of logarithmic steps for focus distance. After
all us photographers are pretty much used to log scales.

Something like 0.5 / 0.63 / 0.8 / 1 / 1.25 / 1.6 / 2 / 2.5 / 3.2 / 4 / 5 /
6.3 / 8 / 10 and so forth.
