is it possible to upload a rar/zip file into the warehouse, i have a 23.6mb file i want to download into the warehouse
and i've already used so many mirrors and components to shrink the file size down, can someone help me with this?

my project currently resides here: http://www.mediafire.com/?tncl1z7wdnzf3yx (extremely detailed model: IJN Yamato 1941)

along with my on-going project here: http://www.mediafire.com/?d35x2j9l4bl5nww (ongoing model: IJN Shinano 1945)

if possible i would like for the GM's of this forum to see this too :D
Merry Christmas : )

Hi Dorian,

I had a look at your model. It is high quality, for sure. And it
aren't the textures (<1 MB), but the geometry that make the KMZ file
so large. So the only answer I can give you is:

There's no way around the 10 MB rule. If you want this model to be
available in the 3DWH you *must* simplify it. I can see that you have
a lot of rounded faces (such as the flower on the bow), you probably
can reduce their face count without sacrifycing too much detail.

And since you talked about components: In another thread it was
recently stated that components help you keep your model organized and
easier maintainable, but they do *not* make the resulting KMZ file
smaller!

Hi Dorian

I can't add anything to that which matthiasbasler stated, and having not looked at your models, the following may not apply.

"IF" you modeled any of the building Interiors, you can help downsize your model(s) by deleting all interior geometry.

Have a great day.
