When I saw Prague was had just been streetmapped and automodelled I
played around with Building Maker for the first time and was surprised
to see my crappy model has not only appeared in the 3D layer of Google
Earth but also wiped out the rest of the block with it. I've now
learned sketchup and made a better version but can't seem to update
the model that was already approved. Are the sketchup criteria
stricter than BM or something?

How can I either update my model or delete it completely? Whatever I
try it still seems to appear in GE.
Can others see it too? 50° 4'41.70"N 14°26'27.96"E

Also I noticed that some excellent models that used to be in the 3D
layer have been replaced by the automodelled versions - don't know if
that's intentional but its a shame.

Hi Dave,

It looks like you have figured it out, but just in case:

You can remove models from Google Earth by unchecking the GE-ready
flag (which it appears you have already done); they'll disappear with
the next layer release, which takes about a week. Ordinarily, this
would also mean that the original block would come back, but since you
have also created a new model (this one, I presume?

it is entirely possible that your new model will get reviewed and
accepted instead. It's in the review queue now.

That explains it. I hadn't figured the old one would hang around for
quite so long.

Actually it's this one that replaces the current one...

Now I feel kind of obliged to model the whole block!

Thanks for the advice!
