Google Earth terrian update?!

The most recent google earth imagery update (the 12/14/08 update I
believe) also updated the terrian layer in Taiwan area and changed the
original terrian.
Now almost all of my models (whether they were accepted or not until
today) have either floating or sinking problems.
Should I fix them accordingly right a way?
If I do, how could I remove the original modelling terrian imported
from google earth and incoaperate the new google earth terrian into
the original skp model files?

Could anyone help me on this one?

I'm surprised to know there's no safety checks in terrain updates to
maintain buildings safe.
It sucks quite a lot.

Yup, this happens - as happened at my place in spring as well.

You should definitely fix these problems if you'd like to keep your
things nice and tidy.

To erase the old snapshot and terrain,you have to "Unlock" them first
(Edit menu). Then you can safely import the new terrain. Make sure to
follow these guidelines to "update" your existing models instead of
uploading them as new ones (thanks Matthias and Lemastre):

In any case,while uploading and the already entered data (like
description) does not appear,you are doing something wrong.

One of my churches in the 3D buildings layer, but since obviously the
terrain changed at the same time it is now severely floating there.
And I cannot do anything to fix this since we don't have access to the
models in that layer.

Hi to everybody,

I modified already one of my models in the 3D-Buildings-Layer. Just
make your changes and upload. After a few weeks of waiting one lovely
morning all modifications were carried out.

It is possible.
