Subject: API examples or tutorial

Are there any examples or tutorials I can get that will provide me some
guidance for how to implement/integrate our companies tracking website into
basecamp utilizing the API's provided.

Thanks,

D

This group is pretty good for a variety of approaches but there's a lot of
options you can choose from to get a website talking to BC for
bi-directional updates.

I was new to web programming when I started so I looked at Python and then
PHP finding the PHP route a better starting point for my personal tastes.

If you work with Microsoft products exclusively, then you'll want to write
something in .net or ASP?

I've also seen people using curl commands from the shell and then breaking
the data up using unix utils for parsing into mail/calendars.

My approach was to stick with Windows, but run an Apache/PHP/MySQL combo
instead of embracing MS options. If the business grows we could move all my
code to a full linux server without issues thanks to the software I'm
working with having linux roots.

Hope that helps a bit?

Hi Dean,

Basecamp API uses a very standard REST API for which there are many
tutorials available on the interwebz.
Its best to start off with the project and as and when you face any
problems specific to API usage post them here so we may help you.

Bon chance!

Thanks,
Arif
