I've been using the single server Whistle deployment option via Winkstart and have observed various issues with default DB values which has prompted me to test the 7 server deployment due to it's production nature. DNS was a non issue with the single server deployment: I could simply establish a host record (replicating the Whistle realm I created for my account) to the server public IP address and freeswitch would handle the endpoint registration. From what I understand, the seven server deployment uses OpenSIPs on two separate servers for the SBC. Do I need to establish round robin DNS for these two servers only or do I need to make other servers accessible to endpoints via DNS? Are there any other factors that need to be considered similar to what I've mentioned above?
Cheers,
Paul

It's up to you – you can either use the phones features for primary/secondary proxy for redundancy and to bounce between the two servers or you can use DNS or SRV… many options. Kind of a preference and based on your knowledge/capabilities of DNS. You
could even forgo DNS altogether to skip one possible failure and hardcode IPs as the proxies on your phone but still use a DNS name in the register server name fields.
