Regarding DTH Billing

Hi,

We are checking the possibilities of integrating a open source billing application with whistle/ winkstart and would like to know the logic you guys have used to intergrated with dth billing as i have been checking the code, but unable to unserstand the flow of DTH. We got to a point of rating the CDR's generated in whistle. But need to know more information about the integration like account creation, balance checking, rate checking etc while making outbound calls.

Please let us know so we can move forward.

Hi Samir,

The current DTH billing doesn't do real-time account cancellation or blacklist checking (yet). It's only for posting the CDRs. That may sound minimal but within DTH you can run full reporting (including how many simultaneous channels were up) thanks to their powerful reporting system and also bill for overages and so on.

Basically the only scenario that doesn't work with DTH thus far is pre-pay and realtime anti-fraud.

Thanks for the reply.

We currently have ASTPP (www.astpp.org) connecting to Whistle/ Freeswitch via mod_xml_cdr, we are at a point where we are able to rate the calls in Whistle/ Freeswitch via mod_xml_cdr. We are trying to synchronize ASTPP to adopt the accounts created in Winkstart. Currently ASTPP version 1.7 is a standalone VoIP billing application which can easily integrate with third party applications.

We would like to get some suggestions on how we can synchronize Winkstart with ASTPP, and also if we are on the right path.
