I have a netbook (no CD drive) that I believe is infected with a rootkit.
Can someone recommend a bootable anti-rootkit program that can be put on and
run from a flashdrive (and how to make the flash drive bootable ).

Thanks

More importantly What makes you THINK you have a rootkit and what operating
system is this (an important factor, don't you think)?

Do your really know what a rootkit is?

Any AV program running off a closed session CD?

Really, we'd *need* to know the *exact* malware involved. Try an online
scan at symantec.com. Boot to safe mode with network support to do it.

Maybe I am but it works perfectly on XP,Vista and Win7. I think you are mixing up
rootkit and associating it with a virus, trojan or Malware which this is not as
neither any AV or any other security program will find rootkit.
Do you know what a rootkit is at all?
