in general it's been a bit warmer than "usual" for about the past 20 years
There have been few if any days that got down to -20F
a one time fairly common winter phenomenon
OTOH: 20 years is less than a geological eye blink...
so though I of course believe it's best to err on the side of caution
I really have to agree that we cannot conclude we are in a state of
global warming...
and even if we are it's hard or impossible to prove it's man made
and finally...even if there is global warming
and it is man made..
I doubt we can do anything about it
It's my understanding that we are still coming out of the ice age
and have quite a ways to go

I can't speak to where YOU live, but no, it isn't getting warmer as
a MEAN temp of the Earth, it's gotten colder in 17 of the last 20
years. And, before you decry the fate of those poor polar bears,
they're doing just fine - over 30,000 today compared to less than
5,000 in 1975.

Yes, but coupled with the fact that there's only been a rise of 1
deg in the last 110 years is NOT proof of a man caused disaster in
the making. Careful study of mean temperatures as a TRUE scientist
does shows that there are 3 different cycles of warming and cooling
that affect the Earth. These go back tens of thousands of years,
LONG before man spewed forth that bad CO2.

The real danger is two-fold: 1) TRYING WILL destroy our economy and
force people to change their life styles even when there are no
cost effective alternatives, and all for political reasons, and 2)
NO ONE has the faintest idea if ANY solution "fixes" the problem
because it is NOT well defined. What if, just what if, we are
heading into a cooling cycle and what the fool Green Nazis force on
us actually causes a premature Little Ice Age as froze all of
Europe for centuries during the Middle Ages?
No, global warming isn't.It's Al Gore and his ilk lining up ways to
add millions or even billions to their pockets and forcing people
to change for NO good reason. It's interesting that when the
political Left goes far enough into liberalism/progressive, it
wraps around and becomes Fascism - which FORCES change rather than
letting free markets and FREE people decide what is best for them.
