Alex -
Sorry for your loss :( Join in whenever you're able! Financially, I
found that I was able to find all the supplements for a little over
$100 (with the exception of the goldenrod and marshmallow tea - I
still need to grab those, urgh) - it just took some internet detective
work.
For soups, I'm basically just throwing a bunch of veggies in a big pot
(making sure to include a dark, leafy green), cooking them until soft
and tender - and then putting them in the blender with a bit of the
broth and pureeing them. I add other spices to taste once it's
pureed. For the most part, they all just taste like baby food :)
Last night I made a pumpkin soup with carrots, ginger, spinach, green
beans and some radishes. On tap for this evening is broccoli (well,
I'll make it tonight but I'll eat it later in the week). Through
trial and error, I've found that celery and cabbage make the tastiest
broths (acquired), but the color is not at all appealing.
