Introduction and a few questions...

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself, as I've just started the Detox
(and joined your Google Group).

I'm partially through Day 1, and aside from the desire to chew my arm
off, all is well! I even survived my first colonic :)

Just a few questions that I haven't yet seen addressed in the
discussion area:

1) Which schedule are you following? The one in the book, the one on
the website, or the one from the 2007 downloadable manual?
2) Free soup is different than just the broth left over from the
pureed vegetable soup, right?
3) Is decaffeinated coffee OK at all?

Good to hear from you....so you are on Day 1 perfect I am right behind
you!! Tomorrow is my day 1 . Just had my last meal for 3 weeks of cod
fish, scallops and shrimp paired with garlic mash potato sorry lol .Oh
and yes I had wine for the first time in a week. If I get night sweats
tonight the wine is over for me period! .....

However I did spend most of the day making 3 soups. Mushroom,
butternut squash and then a vegetable puree which was pretty much the
vegetables from my stock for the other 2. I am following a bit of both
the website and book really. I am doing the schedule from the website
with the 2 hour intervals. I read the book again over the past few
days since I read it last year but was not ready to do the detox. I am
really really pumped to do this. I have told my husband not to make
meals for me for supper and what it was all about. He doesn't want to
join me but knows I am doing this for the cleansing factor mostly. If
I loose weight Bonus! I really want to loose about 12 lbs.

PS I don;t think any coffee is good , only green tea.....

For me the only reason to drink coffee is the caffeine so why bother
with decaf LOL... if you need caffeine to keep those caffeine
headaches at bay, drink green tea, it has 1/4 the amount of the
caffeine which is just enough to keep from having caffeine withdrawal.
Only green, white or herbal tea is allowed.

Believe it or not - I drink coffee for the taste! Caffeine has never
had much of an impact on me, one way or the other :) I can drink a
pot and go right to bed - which, on the flip side, means no withdrawal
headaches (thankfully). I think what I miss about coffee is the
ritual aspect (which I've replaced with tea) and the smell. Ah
well...I'll survive :)

OK
So I got through day 1 ( so far) and wondered how the hell I am going
to get through 20 more after I tasted the green drink. OMG it is
disgusting! I decided to juice tomorrow to give me a bit of flavor
anyway.
But the best treat tonight was supper . I ate the buttercup squash
soup I made yesterday. It was absolutely delicious!! I had never had
squash soup before, I wanted more!! It gets better,,,,I have 3
containers of soups in the frig I made yesterday. The squash one, a
veggie puree and a mushroom. My husband had a bowl of veggie and asked
if he could have more lolol he decided to try the squash for the
second soup instead, he loved both. My daughter asked if she could
take a bowl of veggie to school tomorrow( she is in college) and she
wants the recipe for the squash for a friend !! That's hilarious!
I may have trouble getting through the day but boy super is worth it
so far.......

Hi: I see that a lot of people are confussed as to which schedule to
follow. The one on the website is the most current schedule to
follow. www.mvdietdetox.com. Also, the most current book is the one
with the New York Times Bestseller stcker on it. The lastest book,
did go through some tweeking.

Actaully, free soup is the same as the broth. Yes, it is the broth
from the soup. Only use about 1/4 cup of broth when you puree the
soup. The rest is the Free Soup, or broth. Remember to take a
digestive enyzme when you have your berry drink, live juice and soup.
No coffee during the detox, even decaff. We want to release and
cleanse the body. Not but things back into that isn't healthy. Also,
the most current schedule is the one off the website.
