I watched Soupy from his Lunchtime program to his Friday night
program to his daily program on WNEW-Tv, channel 5 out of NYC.  From
1964-1966, my sister and I(we were in late junior high and early high
school) watched his show every afternoon.  We laughed until our sides
hurt at all his routines, the various characters knocking on his
door...Hobart and Reba who lived in the pot-bellied stove.  Philo
Kvetch!!!  HIs girlfriend...Peaches.  Frank Nastasi. My sister and I
still do lines together that we learned from Soupy.  And if I say so
myself, I do a great imitation of White Fang.

Soupy:  You want me to eat that?

White Fang:  Uh-huh.

Soupy:  But you had it in your mouth!

White Fang:  That's OK, I'll get used to it.

I am saddened...greatly, by his departure.

Hold the cue card straight, Big Eddie, now there really is pie in the
sky.
