The Informed and the Ignorant

It seems that our country is a nation of the "Informed" and of the
"Ignorant". The latter group has been showing itself the past two
weeks, as they have become the willing lackeys for the corporate
health insurance industry.
The Health Insurance industry has enjoyed its untouched manipulation
of Americans for decades in jacking up premiums, reducing services,
increasing deductibles etc.. Now that a new health insurance reform
bill is on the horizon, one that includes a choice between them and a
government plan...guess what???...they no longer like the competition
of capitalism.
Employing the tactics of fear, and enlisting many right-wing groups to
help them, they are sending out mobs of people to disrupt town hall
meetings of Democratic senators and congresspersons, who are holding
these meetings to answer questions about, and explain the details of,
the pending legislation.
The truly sad part of this...other than the disruption of freedom of
speech and assembly...is that these gangs of people, who for the most
part, don't even reside in the areas where the town hall meetings take
place...are Americans who would benefit from the new legislation.
Instead, they seem content to wallow in their ignorance, and like the
yahoos they are, scream out questions about Obama, and repeat lies
about old people left to die, no choice in health plans, and "creeping
socialism". They are shooting themselves in the foot, and taking the
country down with them.
Purporting to be against Government health insurance, one wonders how
many of them have Medicare...which is, after all...GOVERNMENT HEALTH
INSURANCE. Perhaps a true test of their "convictions" would be to
withdraw from the Medicare program.
I watched the performance, and that's what it was...a performance...by
one woman the other day, with her crocodile tears, moaning about how
she "wanted her America back". Well, maybe she doesn't remember, but
she had "her" America from January 20, 2001 through January 19, 2009,
and that is why the economy and health care is in the abysmal state it
was when Obama took office.
Meanwhile, the Corporate CEOs of the Health Insurance Industry, and
the major Pharmaceuticals as well, are laughing at the Ignorant doingf
their dirty work for them. These "Captains of Industry" have found a
common denominator among the Ignorant. Though they may deny
it...scratch the surface of the belief system of these individuals,
and what they hate the most about the state of America is that a black
man is president.
It is old fashioned virulent racism that is propelling the Health
Insurance backed Ignorant movement, helped in good measure by their
handmaidens, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sarah Palin.
The only antidote to the fearmongering, distortions, and lies is an
honest assessment of the pending bill. To a certain extent, the blame
for not adequately explaining the provisions rests with Democratic
lawmakers (who represent the "Informed") and
President Obama himself. They need to reassert themselves, and
counter the shouting lies with commercials, speeches, and maybe...just
maybe...a nationwide speech about Health Reform by Barack Obama to the
American people.

I would just like to add, it's always follow the money, when it comes
to contracts and policies. I was just emailing recently to Lee Harvey
Oswald's girlfriend who is in her late sixties now, and was recruited
into the cancer experiments in New Orleans with the gang that was in
the middle of assassinating the President. Basically she would
experiment experiments on monkey's and mice to create cancer
cocktails, and well for that time she was being used to have that made
for the 'evil Castro.' So I mailed her this: It's something I get
in the mail, but it addresses the topic you raise and usually shows
the underbelly of Big Brother's motives and such for their
undertakings:

She said it was an eye-opener for her. She emailed back and had some
kind of dialogue between Nixon and someone concerning Kaiser
Permanente. It was something one would never hear in
public....something along the lines that the public will never know
what hit them when they don't get very thorough health care and will
be paying quite a bill. I must have deleted it, but will try to get
her to send it if anyone is interested.
