Subject: Check-In .. Thursday 11/5

Quality vs. Quantity - a good measure of determining how successfully I am recovering. I can focus on how many 24's I have acquired or I can focus on how happy I am each day. Happiness is a direct result of living sober - this program is much more than just not drinking. The way I react to life's situations, accept things that don't go my way, and how I more productively interact with other people (both in the rooms and with "Earth People") is the difference between what it was like and what it's like now. My focus is on making each day count .. not just counting the days!

Sobriety vs. Recovery - just not drinking without changing is so-DRY-ity .. but working and living the Steps on a daily basis in all my affairs (especially at work and in the home) is helping me, one day at a time, live a better life thanks to moving into the solution and away from the symptom of the disease of alcoholism. Booze was only a catalyst - the "isms" are what I continue to work on every day.

Wishing you a quality day in recovery..... :)
