              Life isn&#39;t about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!  &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;November 9, 2009 &lt;br&gt; Quote of the Week &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt; &amp;quot;Honesty got me sober; tolerance keeps me sober.&amp;quot; &lt;br&gt;   &lt;br&gt; I didn&#39;t realize how dishonest I was before I entered recovery. I had half truths and misleading by omission down to a fine art, and by the end of my drinking and using I was even good at deceiving myself. I didn&#39;t know it then, but the practice of being rigorously honest was the cornerstone of my recovery, and without it I never would have gotten sober.

  step 1.  Admitting we had become powerless to alcohol, and that our lives had become unmanageable!. &lt;br&gt; Step 1.  The most surprising miralce that ever occured in such short a sentence. &lt;br&gt; Yes I do mean a Sentence!  Admittance to being powerless to alcohol was like a sentence that was handed down by a jury with no judge.  The Jury being the reasons why I should quit drinking, and the judgement of others that knew I had a drinking problem.  wow Coming to admit that I was powerless over alcohol.  Just think I, yes I admitted that I was powerless over alcohol, and that my life had become unmangeable.  Man do they have a step and half that consists of those that can&#39;t manage their lives when people want what is ours and that is happiness.  Happiness comes in many forms and in many ways disguises itself with the ever so present attitude of, &amp;quot;Why should I change, when I&#39;m not the one that has the problem.&amp;quot;  Well coming to admit that we,  remember the,  &amp;quot;We&amp;quot; word includes those in Recovery and within the program; we had become powerless to alcohol.  If you are able to go to any lengths to get what i got then here it is Sobriety,  What
