The information from the DePaul students organizing the meeting is listed
below. If anyone from March 10 can go it would be great. We can add this to
the agenda for the Tuesday night meeting. May Day Youth can also discuss it
on Saturday. The various committees can find a way to coordinate
organizing.

Chris Simcox, founder of the Minutemen and a disgusting racist, is coming to
speak at DePaul University on Monday, May 19th, at Cortelyou Commons. The
Minutemen, of course, are thugs who "patrol" the Mexican border and kidnap,
threaten, and even kill undocumented workers attempting to cross into the
United States to find work.

Just as an example of the racist screed we can expect to hear:
"Take heed of our weapons because we're going to defend our borders by any
means necessary," he said...Of illegal immigrants, Simcox added: "They're
trashing their neighborhoods, refusing to assimilate, standing on street
corners, jeering at little girls walking on their
way to school."

Activists from DePaul student organizations and from around the city will be
meeting Saturday afternoon to discuss what actions to take, to protest and
make clear that we won't accept offensive hate speech on our campus.
