This Google Group is organized by 10th Mountain Descendants for the purpose of communication among 10th Mountain veterans, descendants and friends.  Please sign in to receive up to date information concerning activites throughout the country.

10th Mountain Descendants, Inc Mission statement:

The 10^th Mountain Division Descendants, Inc. is an organization made up of the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, etc. of the WW II 10^th Mt. Div. soldiers. 10^th Descendants welcomes, appreciates and values anyone who loves the 10^th Mountain Division and will join us to honor our veterans and continue their good works. Together we will carry out the goal of preserving the legacy of the 10^th Mt. Div. and give our support to the veterans and their wives and widows of the 10^th Mt. Div. National Association.

10th Mountain Descendants, Inc Vision Statement:

The enduring significance of the war and peacetime contribution of the men of the WWII 10^th Mountain Division depends upon their descendants’ knowledge of the events, values and actions that shaped their lives.  The challenge to successive generations of the 10^th Descendants is to celebrate this legacy by establishing commonalities with the experiences of their 10^th ancestors and forging links to their historical past.

Descendants will accept this challenge by continuing the WWII veterans’ projects, supporting Chapter, National, Foundation and 10^th Mountain (Light) activities and creating new educational activities and humanitarian projects that celebrate and enact their values of honor, responsibility, comradeship and love of the mountains. 

Through these actions, the legacy of the WWII 10^th Mountain soldiers will live in perpetuity.
