(See attached)

It started off as a Photoshop lesson for a classmate and evolved into something I wouldn't actually mind having framed on my wall. A3, etcetera. I'll be charging cost of printing + 5 euros for S&H.

Hi Mark, I'd actually take one of these!

Also, you should consider submitting it to threadless as a t-shirt design. This is exactly the sort of thing they would print.

that is a fantastic image! it has something of a 2001 a space odyssey feel about it... it is also one of my favorite films. I get the sun reference here of course, but am i missing something, is there a message in the poster that i am not seeing?

I'm actually having an argument about this on Facebook: VY Canis Majoris wins out on sheer volume, but R136a1 has mass and is still fucking big. Poster may change in detail. :)

Donal: I want to parody the whole #occupy-whatever movement by doing something completely nonsensical.

Nah... leave it. Mass has nothing on sheer physocal size. R136a1 is probably going to blow up soon anyway.

Is that 30 times the mass of our sun or am I reading 3*10^1 wrong?

You weren't reading it wrong: I expected geeks to notice the low number and see through the poster.

I did take feedback onboard: I swapped mass for volume. 9.261x10^9 is a much more impressive number. :)

accretion maybe?

Not sure, yet. Depends on the final print run. If I want a poster print, as opposed to an oversize photo print, maybe 40 euros per. I'm pricing around, right now. I may wind up having it done in America.

What I've priced:

$40.75 per 27"x40" semi-gloss poster (my image is all vectors, so it'll scale up just fine).
$10 shipping to a friend in Texas.
Probably $20-$30 shipping from Texas to Ireland.

I'm going to say $60 USD/€ 45 per poster, as I'll have to ship them on from my house.

I have a couple of A3 test prints that I ran off at school before the break. I'll pin them up in the Labs on Tuesday when I'm in Galway.

Great I'm sure they will look great in the labs...
